Elizabeth "Ann" Laney Laxton, age 89, of Kings Creek, North Carolina, went to her Heavenly home on January 27, 2025.

Ann was born on December 30, 1935 to the late George and Pansy Jones Laney in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Garland Laxton; son, Ricky L. Laxton; daughter, Debra Elaine Laxton; brother, Bill Laney; and sister, Sue Jaynes.

Those left to cherish her memory include her niece, Laura Gentry (Richard) of Granite Falls, NC; nephews, Doug Laney (Kathy) and Jonathan Laws, all of Lenoir, NC; a special friend, Ella Mae Kirby; as well as several cherished loved ones.

Elizabeth was a lifelong member of the Kings Creek community which she loved dearly. She was a member of Kings Creek Baptist Church, and graduated from Kings Creek School. She lived life to the fullest. Ann loved to play bingo and never met a stranger.

A graveside service to honor the life of Elizabeth "Ann" Laxton will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at 2pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Reverend Randy Goode officiating.
