Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Patterson, age 80, of 815 Powell Road, Lenoir, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Amorem / Robbins Center, Hudson.  She was born February 18, 1944 in Caldwell County to the late Ralph Henry and Annie Horton Patterson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Deshon Chester and siblings, Herman Lee (Billie), Louis, Joe Benny, Evelyn Ruth, Myrtle, Mary Frances, Shirley Banner (Houston), Barbara Jean, Ruth Evelyn (Morris),  Mary Louise Harbison (Charlie), and Willie (Katherine).

Survivors include: her two sons: Dennis O'Neil and Kyle Alexander (Jewel) Patterson; grandchildren: Tyran Moore, Dennis Chester, Keaun Patterson, Sharmane Dula, Christopher Dula (Tina), Dahndray Patterson.  Special nephews and nieces: Herman "Buddy" Patterson (Emily), Jean Allen, and Delores Patterson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ms. Patterson was a member of First Church of God in Lenoir and had previously worked for Bernhardt Furniture Plan #2 for ten years plus and Broyhill Lenoir Furniture Corporation for over twenty years.

She was a graduate of Freedman High School in 1963.  In her senior year, she was voted Best Dressed and Best Dancer.  Her home was always opened to all that closely knew her with a feast of soulful dishes and for those she loved whom was in need of a place to lay their heads.  She loved her sons dearly and spoiled all her grandsons!

One thing about Ms. Patterson, you would have always knew what you was gonna get her with her, cause she was a woman who spoke her mind.  She definitely be missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 12:00 P.M. at First Church of God in Lenoir with Mother Diane Hester officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 12:00 prior to the service at the church.
