Elizabeth Greene Pearson, 96 of Lenoir passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023.

Born on January 9, 1927 in Caldwell County, the daughter of the late Fred B. Greene and Opal Coffey Greene. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for over 65 years, and early in life taught Sunday School. Mrs. Pearson received her education from Hudson High School and Lenoir Rhyne University. She worked over 10 years for the Vice President of Kent Coffey Manufacturing Company. Later, she substituted in the Caldwell County School system.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Luther Pearson; her loving son, Marcus L. Pearson; sister, Mildred Holman; and special friend, Ralph Roberts.

She is survived by her precious daughter, Carol E. Pearson; brother, Frederick B. Greene; nephews, Stephen Lefler and Dr. Rufus Lefler; and niece, Sandra Poteat and husband, Bob.

A private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Belleview Cemetery with Rev. Dave Melton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lenoir at 309 Church St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
