Eric Gwyn Spears, age 58, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. He was born March 9, 1967 in Caldwell County to Larry Spears and the late Linda Griffin McCall. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by one step-son, Nathan Harris; his beloved in-laws, Charles and Jean Effler; and one brother-in-law, Robert Effler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Larry Spears; step-father, B.J. McCall; one sister, Lisa Norman (Jody Robinson); one brother, Jessie McCall; his long time significant other, Jeanne Harris; step-daughter, Amber Harris; four step-grandchildren, Isaiah Courtner, Caleb Rouse, Skylar Harris, and Mara Yates; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Spears will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. David Payne officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
