Erma Kathleen Farley Whisnant, age 51, of Hudson passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at her residence. She was born August 3, 1974 in Haywood County to the late Harry Lee Farley and Claudia Jean Cox Thomason. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Crystal Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 15 years, Robert Eugene Whisnant; two daughters, Jamie Farley and D.J. LaCount (Patrick); one brother, Michael Farley; one sister, Melanie Goble (Danny); four grandchildren, Easton Clark, Olivia Clark, Elena Clark, and Isaiah Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, her dog Leo.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Burgett officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
