Estell Melinda Holsclaw Dillard, age 98, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 28, 1926 in Caldwell County to the late James Holsclaw and Ida Teeters Dillard. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dillard; two brothers; and three sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Clarence Dillard; one daughter, Joyce Holsclaw (Dean); three grandchildren, Tammy Pennell (Shannon), Todd Holsclaw, and Shannon Dillard (Bobbie); four great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Dover Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Jolly and Rev. Taylor Pennell officiating. Interment will immediately follow at the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lawrence White, Chad Keller, Jerry Bowman, Mike Nail, Todd Chapman, and Kelly Richie.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
