Eula Mae Poindexter Greer, age 75, of Morganton passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 8:41 PM at Gateway Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was born August 8, 1947 in Mt. Airy to the late Eulis and Helen Marie Goodson Poindexter. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Levi Greer; one brother, Wade Junior Poindexter; and one sister, Patricia.

She loved her Chihuahuas, doing crossword puzzles and watching wrestling.  Eula was a beautiful soul and was a God fearing woman.  She was fun to be around.  She loved spending time with her family.  She was loved by her family and will always live in their hearts.

Those left surviving include her husband, Jesse Summerlin; one son, Grady Summerlin; three sisters, Helen Cranfill, Faye Poindexter, and Virginia Poindexter; and one granddaughter, Destiny Summerlin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 at 1:00PM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Todd Greene. Interment will immediately follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Claremont, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
