Eun Duk "Kim" Smith, age 89, of Mill Spring, NC, formerly of Hudson, NC, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center. She was born January 17, 1935 in South Korea to the late A Chi Kim. In addition to her mother she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Smith, Jr.; and her son-in-law, Matthew J. Cole.

Mrs. Smith was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Peggy Fetsko and husband Mark of Mill Spring, and Judy Smith of Weaverville; one grandson, Trevor Cole; and two sisters, Chong Ok Kim and family of Florida, and Chong Yon Yi and family of New Jersey.

Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Fetsko, Trevor Cole, Bob Allen, Chris Yi, Andrew Kim, and Sam Kim.
