Eva Mae Wellborn Walsh, age 86, of Boomer passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Mountain Valley Hospice. She was born August 17, 1938 in Caldwell County to the late Carl Wellborn, Sr. and Ellen Nelson Wellborn. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, V.D. Walsh; one daughter, Denise Adams; one granddaughter, Christina Adams; one sister, Beatrice Pope; two half-sisters, Mildred Carpenter and Clyde Wellborn; one brother, Carl Wellborn, Jr.; and two half-brothers; Joseph Wellborn and Earl Wellborn.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Randal Walsh (significant other Peggy Shew); one daughter, Diane Frakowski (husband Anthony); three sisters, Adriene Watson, Nancy Mackie (husband John), and Alma Mullinax; three grandchildren, Isaac Lunsford, Eric Lunsford, and Raymond Weiler (wife Staci Ingram Weiler); four great-grandchildren, Dalton Adams, Marshall Adams, Halie Byrd, and Kayla Ingram; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James Hall and Rev. Hadley Triplett officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
