Evelyn Webb Gentry, age 91, of Hudson passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at Hickory Falls Health and Rehabilitation. She was born June 24, 1932 in Sevier County, TN to the late Broadus Webb and Lena Sutton Webb. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Gentry; four sisters, Euretha Webb, Mona Triplett, Ann Lee Thomas, and Alma Cavin; and two step-sons, Greg Gentry and Sheldon Gentry.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Carolyn Hatley of Hudson, and Teresa Gryder and husband Doug of Lenoir; one step-son, Robert Gentry and wife Julie of Lenoir; one brother, Junior Webb of Lenoir; three sisters, Christine Walker and husband Doug, Elizabeth Harmon, and Loretta Storie, all of Lenoir; two grandchildren, Greg Hatley and wife Michelle, and Justin Gryder and wife Heather; four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Ella Hatley, and Sawyer and Lily Gryder; three step-grandchildren, Ashley Gentry, James Gentry, and Jessica Edwards and husband Joseph; step-great-grandchildren, Josiah and Julianna Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Wayne White. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
