Evelyn D. Robertson Gray, age 75, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Morganton, NC.

Evelyn was born on December 8, 1947 in Lincoln County to the late James "Shorty" Estes Robertson and Virginia Jane Canipe.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Gray; brothers, James "Jolly" Patterson Robertson and Rodger Dean Robertson; and sister, Nancy Gaye Cowart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, William Eaker, Audie Eaker, and James Eaker; daughter, Crystal Eaker; 7 plus grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was a dedicated mother who loved Jesus and enjoyed gospel music. She will be remembered as a great cook and a hard worker. Evelyn had two dogs and loved animals.

A funeral service will be held for Evelyn Gray at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 200PM with Reverend Ronnie W. Parker, cousin, officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Evelyn will be laid to rest following the service at Maiden Municipal Cemetery located at 211 E. Cemetery Street, Maiden, NC 28650.
