Everett Clifford Scarberry, age 67, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Everett was born on July 20, 1959 in Virginia to the late Joe and Evie Scarberry.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Scarberry, Jackie Scarberry, and Roger Scarberry and sister, Geneva Scarberry Dunford.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Beth Tester; brother, Johnny Scarberry (Judy); sisters, Sue Maddy (Tracy) and Reba Steffey; grandchildren, Logan Scarberry, John Tester, and Elijah Tester; good friends, Donnie and Charlie; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other loved ones.

Everett was a great dad and the best grandpa. He was an avid wrestling fan, and was an excellent hunter and fisherman. Everett was a hard worker and was a talented furniture maker. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service to honor the life of Everett Scarberry will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 11AM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel.
