Obituary

Faye Reid Bell, age 84, of Granite Fall, passed away on Saturday, September 28th, 2024.

Faye was born to the late Ralph Pinkney Reid and Ruth Anderson Reid on September 13, 1940 in Caldwell County.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her brothers, Dewey Reid and wife Kona, and Donald Reid and wife Laura; sisters, Carolyn Keller and Janet Mills and husband John; nieces, Cheryl Reid and Jennifer Mills; nephews, Kenneth Reid, Brian Reid and Cliff Reid; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Faye was an accountant at heart. She taught at Owen High School in Black Mountain, from which she retired, after 25 years of teaching. Faye enjoyed traveling and loved Scottish music. Most importantly, Faye loved her family. She would do anything for anyone anytime.

A funeral service to honor the life of Faye Bell will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 2pm at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1pm until 2pm at the church.

Burial will follow the service at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Amorem Hospice.
