Frances Herold Blevins, 79, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Frances was born on September 20, 1945 in Caldwell County to the late James Lance Herold and Martha Reynolds Ford Herold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Blevins Jr.

Frances was a seamstress for over 45 years, working at different companies, including Shadowline, Blue Bell, Connie Lee Hosiery, Cajah's Mtn. Hosiery, and eventually retiring from BeoCare.

Frances loved to travel, touring Europe extensively and visiting every U.S. state except Hawaii. Frances' last trip was an Alaskan cruise with her sister, Margaret, in 2022.

She was always busy and loved walking her granddogs, planting flowers, and working in the yard. Frances had many lifelong friends, including those she made in elementary school. At heart, Frances was a caregiver, helping her family and friends in their time of need.

Frances is survived by her daughter Wendy Thomas (Kevin), stepdaughters Karen Stein (Tim), Sandra Parlier, brother John Herold (Linda), sister Margaret Cannon, brother-in-law Robert Smith, friend and sister in heart Barbara Price, two granddaughters Emily Thomas, Taylor Parlier, and two special granddogs.

Close friends and relatives will be notified at a later date for a private gathering to celebrate Frances' memory.
