Mr. Gary Wayne Goodwin, age 76, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on March 9, 2024.

Gary was born on October 11, 1947 in Elizabethton, Tennessee to the late Wayne and Ruth Goodwin.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Goodwin; brother-in-law, Tony Hayes, and brother-in-law Ron Brady.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Misty Seagle and husband Chris and Jackie Charlton and husband Louis; sister-in-law, Wilmae Goodwin; sisters, Donna Mitchell and husband Fred, Patsy Hayes, and Lois Brady; grandchildren, Joshua Rinehart, Kyra Rinehart, Louis Charlton, Zackery Seagle, and Ian Morton; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gary enjoyed Nascar as well as tinkering with various things around the house. He always liked a good bargain and was an avid collector of antiques and coins.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home from 1pm-2:30pm.
