George Davis Carroll Jr., age 84, of Hudson, North Carolina passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025.

George was born on August 5, 1941 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late George and Stella Carroll.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Roderick Duncan Carroll; twin sister, Jackie Mavis Hudak; infant sister, Mary Desma Carroll; and sister, Laura Margaret Carroll.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Linda Beach Carroll; daughters, Monica Lea Nichols (Neal) and Alison Paige Auton (Tim); brother, Joel William Carroll (Kathy); sisters, Dryna Bly Rains (Eddie) and Kathy Elizabeth Kim; grandchildren, Lauren Taylor Nichols, Ella Grace Nichols, Silas Reston Nichols, and Emma Paige Auton; 10 nephews; and 3 nieces.

Grandson of a former pastor of Sardis Baptist Church, George was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Hudson where he served in various capacities, including Superintendent of Sunday School, personnel and nominating committee member, Deacon, and as a choir member. He was known for his strong Biblical foundation and dedication to a Christian life. George will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life to honor George Carroll Jr. will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church of Hudson with Reverend Mack Jarvis and Reverend Paul Renfrow officiating.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the church.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to First Baptist Church of Hudson's choir fund or senior ministry.
