George Washington Patterson, III, age 67, of Granite Falls passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Carolina Caring. He was born March 27, 1959 in Mendocino County, California to Gwen Wood and the late Ed Tworek. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his adoptive parents, George Washington Patterson, MD, and Eleanor Williams; and his wife, Nancy Jane Vines Patterson.

Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother include, two daughters, Kelly Patterson (Cody Porter) and Brandy Patterson; two sisters, Millie Coleman and husband Mike and Heather Patterson; one granddaughter, Kayla Parsons (Jaylin Berry); and one great-granddaughter, Kaylynn Berry.

Previously scheduled services have been cancelled at this time.
