Gerald Ralph Summerow, age 76, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Roby S. Summerow and Lucy Nichols Summerow. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, David Summerow and Paul Summerow.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Lackey Summerow of the home; two sons, Randal Summerow and Trenton Summerow, both of Lenoir; one daughter, Sandra Bryant and husband Eric of Lenoir; three brothers, Clifford Summerow and wife Donna, Roger Summerow and wife Judy, and Larry Summerow, all of Lenoir; one sister, Janet Triplett of Lenoir; five granddaughters, Heather, Taylor, Megan, Amber, and Mariah; seven great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Karlie, Eric, Blake, Lillie, Rayne, and Maybreigh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Walking by Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Ford and Rev. Ray Main officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church.

A reception will be held following the service at 5:00 P.M. at the home of Ray and Linda Main, 3970 McCall Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
