Mrs. Greta Jones Ecret, age 92, of Granite Falls passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Hibriten Mountain Health and Rehabilitation.

Born April 4, 1933 in Bluefield, West Virginia, Greta was a daughter of the late Robert and Mattie Coeburn Jones.  She loved to cross stitch and crochet.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Dale Hatley, Donald Eugene Hatley and Michael Jackson Hatley; two sisters, Carlen Wood and Aleen Brown.

Survivors include her son, Robert Ecret; a brother, Winston Doug Hatley; a sister, Wanda Townsend; a brother in law, David Wood; Greta is also survived by numerous other relatives.

Funeral services are incomplete at this time, but will be announced later by Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
