Gwendolyn "Gwen" Gragg Woody, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away at the age of 76. She was born on December 13th, 1946 to the late Randall Gragg and Alta Gragg-Miller.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Tommy Woody; her brother, Ronnie Gragg, and sister, Geraldine Hollar.

She was the proud co-owner of Upton Valley Nursery where alongside her husband, brother in- law (Clyde Woody), and sister- in- law (Caroline Woody) she worked hard to create a successful family business. Over the years, nothing made her happier and filled with joy than spending time with and raising her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She leaves all of them with special gifts and unconditional love she taught each of them. Gwendolyn was well known and loved in the Globe/ Collettsville community. She was a very giving woman and would help anyone in need.

She was known for her love of sweet treats. She had a love for watching flowers bloom, especially roses. As well as a love for bird watching from her front window. Gwen helped take care of a lot of the children, now adults that were raised in the Globe. She made a difference in all the lives she touched in so many ways.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons; Randall "Tommy" Woody and wife Tarina, and Jason Woody and wife Jessica.  The special joys of her life her grandchildren; Brooklyn Coffey and husband Mark, Savannah Colvard and husband Ethan, and J.T. Woody, four great-grandchildren; Braylen, McKinley, Sawyer, and Dixie.

Pallbearers will include Tommy Woody, Jason Woody, J.T. Woody, Mark Coffey, Ethan Colvard, and Braylen Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will include Bryan Hollar, Chris Hollar, and Jonathan Gragg.

The family will gladly accept flowers or donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

A graveside service to honor the life of Gwendolyn Woody will be held on Friday October 6, 2023 at 2:30PM at the Woody Family Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 1:00PM-2:00PM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel.
