Harold Dean Gryder, age 74, of Granite Falls, North Carolina passed away in his home on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Harold was born on February 9, 1951 to the late Dallas and Dorothy Gryder in Caldwell County.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 46 wonderful years, Peggy Auton Gryder; brothers, Jack Gryder, James Gryder, and two infant brothers; sister in law, Joyce Gryder; brother in law, Jerry Clark; and special friend, Diane Dancy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Angela Gryder Kincaid (Chris); brothers, Doug Gryder (Teresa) and Dale Gryder; sister, Lois Clark; special friend, Iris Auton; numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Harold loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and bee keeping. He enjoyed being outdoors. He was a very generous man who enjoyed giving away the produce he grew to those he loved. He will be dearly missed.

A visitation to honor the life of Harold Gryder will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.
