Harold Dean Martin, age 86, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Harold was born on June 26, 1940 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Frank and Florence Martin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Blaine Franklin Martin and James Lee Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Peggy Houck Martin; daughter, Teresa Martin-Brayboy and husband Brian; sister, Dr. Rae Hansberry; granddaughter, Lindsey Martin; and numerous nieces an nephews.

A memorial service to honor the life of Harold Martin will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 2:00PM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Walter Lundy officiating.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
