Obituary

Helen Miller Robbins, age 78, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1947 in Jackson County, NC to the late George Odell Miller and Grace Heath Day. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her step-father, Clarence Day; one brother, Odell Miller; one sister, Evelyn Miller; one step-daughter, Kelly Hudson; and one son-in-law, Trent Noe.

Mrs. Robbins worked as a dental assistant for more than twenty years for Dr. Paul Hedrick. She was a dedicated member of Yadkin Baptist Church and very involved in many committees within the church. She was a volunteer at Koinonia Senior Living Community and tutored children who used English as a second language.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, of 39 years, Thomas "Tommy" Herring Robbins; one son, Lee Williams and husband Michael Dugan; three step-daughters, Kathryn Cooke and husband Kelly, Tara Noe, and Jill Robbins; nephew, Heath Miller; great-nephews, Greyson Miller and Meyson Miller; brother-in-law; David Robbins; sister-in-law, Debbie Styles and husband Alan, Frances Oxford and husband Bill; nine grandchildren, Madelyn and Max Cooke, Callie and Clara Noe, Gavin and Brayden Keys, Lauren Jarvis, Bailey Coleman, and Ginny Herald; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Yadkin Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Livingston, Rev. Jim Hamby, Rev. Stuart White, and Rev. Jim Phillips officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Greyson Miller, Meyson Miller, Alan Knight, Mike Enloe, Mike Fields, and David Townsend.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sean Carlton, and the surviving fourteen male classmates of her Happy Valley High School Class of 1965.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood St NW, Lenoir, NC 28645; or Yadkin Baptist Church, 2044 Roby Martin Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
