Mrs. Ingrid Anny Nitsch Dobereiner, age 85, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese.

Born March 7, 1940 in Eger, Czechoslovakia, Ingrid was a daughter of the late Hans and Greta Nitsch.  She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and worked as a beautician for many years.  She will be remembered for her positive outlook and being a loving person.  Ingrid was always smiling and her joy came from helping others.  She loved life, people and the mountains.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Oscar L. Dobereiner; three daughters, Manuela Hoesch (David), Lisa Ullman (Jeff) and Jane Atkinson (Ross); two granddaughters, Erika Ullman and Katie Atkinson; numerous siblings and other relatives in Germany.

A memorial service celebrating Ingrid's life will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 2:00 PM at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Duke officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
