Mr. Irvin "Irv" Wenger Kanode, age 75, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Irvin was born on April 26, 1948 to the late Irvin G. Kanode and Dorothy Wenger Kanode in Marion, Kentucky.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shirley Kanode; daughter, Jennifer Knode and husband Mordicai Knode; brother, Emerson Kanode; sister, Barbara Kanode; and grandchild, Antigone Knode.

Irv was a member of the Lenoir Amateur Radio Club and definitely loved computers and technology. He was a graduate of Purdue University, where he earned a bacherlor's degree. Irv was also a member of CERT in Caldwell County (Community Emergency Response Team). He did this to demonstrate his love of his community and his dedication to others. Irv loved to be outdoors. He was an avid hiker who also loved to go off roading in his jeep. Irv was loved and will forever be loved by those who knew him. He will be remembered as a good man, good husband, good father, and good grandfather.
