Isaac Lackey, born on October 19, 2014, passed away on April 17, 2026, leaving behind a family and community who loved him beyond measure.

Isaac was a light to everyone who knew him. He truly never met a stranger and had a special way of making everyone feel welcome. His heart was full of kindness, always thinking of others before himself. He was the gentlest, caring soul, and his love for others was something that will never be forgotten.

Isaac was a student at Dudley Shoals Elementary School, where he was loved by his classmates and teachers. He had a passion for trucks and was fascinated by how big their motors were. He loved riding motorcycles and his go-kart, spending time making trails through the woods and enjoying the outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were simply being with his friends and family—laughing, playing kickball and making memories that will last forever.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Lackey and grandfathers, Tony Lewis and PG Lackey.

He is survived by his loving parents, Eric and Sherra Lackey; sister, Lily Lackey and her boyfriend, Tanner Patrick; brother, Miles Lackey; nephew, Colter Lackey; grandmother, Jolene Lewis; Uncle and Aunt, Jason and Brandy Lewis; cousin, Josh Lewis; his grandfather and grandmother, Terry Fowler and Virginia Coffey, and his beloved Jdaddy (Joey Hall), Kmama (Karen Hall), Nonnie (Jennifer Hall Fox) and Buggie (Joeeann Fox).

Isaac was deeply loved by his big family and friends and that love will continue to carry his memory forward every day.

Though his time here was far too short, Isaac's kindness, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to others will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A service to celebrate Isaac's life will be held at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church on Friday, April 24, 2026. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M. at the church. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 P.M. The internment will take place at Union Baptist Church immediately following the funeral service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Taylor, Eric Clonch, Jeff Farley, Jimmy Raines, Chris Money, and Bradley Clay.
