Mr. Jack Arnold Brookshire, age 91, of Granite Falls passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Born October 17, 1934 in Alexander County, Jack was a son of the late, Ray and Alice White Brookshire.  Jack was a graduate of Oak Hill High School.  He received a degree from the Burton Institute in Charlotte, along with an associate's degree from Gaston Tech.  He enjoyed being a HAM radio operator.  Jack had a radiotelephone license first class from the Federal Communications Commission.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Brookshire; three brothers, Millard Brookshire, Leon Brookshire and Ray "Bud" Brookshire; four sisters, Christine Andrews, Hilda Hice, Faye Lehmann and Wanda Stafford.

Survivors include a son, Jack Arnold Brookshire, Jr. (wife Tracy); a daughter, Lawanda W. Brown (husband Jeff); a sister, Barbara Love; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A funeral service for Jack will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stuart White officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
