Jackalene Triplett Ward 79 of Lenoir went home to Jesus on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Amorem in Hudson.

She was born March 7 1946 in Watauga County to the late Ernest and Easter Triplett.  She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. Jackie loved spending time with her (great) grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing (cross stitch), baking, and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ward; brothers, Junior Triplett, Marshall Triplett; sisters, Nancy Hartley, Willa Dean Rich; Stepsons, Jeffery Potter, Jimmy Ward; and granddaughter Leslie Danielle Hamby.

She is survived by her children: Charles Hamby, Jeanna Warhurst (husband Troy), Wendy Whitt (fiancé Peter); stepchildren, Debbie Dickens (husband Norman), Tammy Griffin (husband Eddy), Paul David Ward; sisters, Wimmie Lawhon, Bonnie Farr; grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Kylie, Savana, Ashley, Phillip, Elizabeth, Erin, Enya, Dean, Lucas, Adrian, Heather, Jessica, Megan, Annie, and Sarah; she is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jackie was a beloved mother, not only to her children, but numerous teenagers through the foster care program for fifteen plus years.

Memorial Service will be held at Covenant Baptist Church, 1425 Lee Pearson Road, Granite Falls, on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tony Greer officiating.

Receiving of friends and family will take place at the church prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
