Jackie Wayne Mayo, age 68, passed away on September 03, 2026.

Born on February 22, 1958, in Lincoln County, North Carolina, Jackie was the son of the late Leonard and Edith Mayo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Mayo.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sarah Billings; his brother, Daryl Mayo (Beth); his sisters, Linda Sue Black (Rick) and Renay Mayo Weathers; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Wright (Jerry); his nephews, Ritchie Black (Jessica), Ronnie Keith Mayo (Betty), Justin Grant (Courtney), Todd Mayo, Brandon Weathers, and Samuel Chafin Cornwell; his nieces, Lisa Tansill, Angie Black, Ashley Brohm (Ben), Kristian Hedgepath (Derek), and Lindsey Cornwell; his great-nephews, Damien Wood, Kendall Wood, Kale Black, Aiden Eason, Austin Mayo, Beckett Brohm, Holden Brohm, Waylon Weathers, Jagger Grant, and Brayden Grant; and his great-nieces, Marley Black, Zaylee Hedgepath, Kenslee Hedgepath, Lettee Hedgepath, and Maylee Hedgepath.

Jackie was an avid hunter and fisherman who found great joy in the outdoors. He also loved riding his motorcycle, working on cars, and was in the process of restoring an old Mustang. A hardworking man with a curious spirit, Jackie was always eager to try new things and embrace new experiences. He will be remembered as a giving and loving man with a tender heart, whose kindness touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
