Jackie Wayne Mayo, age 68, passed away on September 3, 2026.

Jackie was born on February 22, 1958 in Lincoln County, NC to the late Leonard and Edith Mayo.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Mayo.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sarah Billings; brother, Daryl Mayo (Beth); sisters, Linda Sue Black (Rick) and Renay Mayo Weathers; sister-in-law, Jennifer Wright (Jerry); nephews, Ronnie Keith Mayo (Betty), Richie Black (Jessica), Justin Grant (Courtney), Brandon Weathers, and Samuel Chafin Cornwell; nieces, Ashley Brohm (Ben), Lisa Tansill, Angie Black, Kristian Hedpath (Derek), and Lindsey Cornwell; great-nephews, Austin Mayo, Beckett Brohm, Holden Brohm, Kale Black, Brayden Grant, Waylon Weathers, Kendall Wood, Damion Wood, Aiden Eason, and Jagger Grant; and great-nieces, Marley Black, Zaylee Hedpath, Kenslee Hedpath, Lettee Hedpath, and Maylee Hedpath.

Jackie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved riding his bike and working on cars. He was working on restoring an old mustang. He was a hard worker and always enjoyed trying new things. He will be remembered as a giving, loving man, with a tender heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.
