Jacob "Tyler" Berrong, age 39, of Hickory, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Tyler was born on July 1, 1985 to Jeffrey Dean Berrong and Robin Stone Gray in Wilkes County, North Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Judy Stone and Don and Dee Berrong and Uncle Timothy "Tim" Stone.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of almost 18 years, Ashley Berrong; son, Brody Berrong; daughter, Saige Lyall; mother, Robin Gray and fiancée Jason Cline; father, Jeff Berrong and step-mother, Beth Berrong; step-brother, Eric Absher (Jessica); sister-in-law, Erica Ames (Duncan); uncles, Randy Stone (Holly), Stephen Stone, Joe Berrong (Deb), John Berrong (Paula), and Mike Berrong (Joann); aunts, Sue Berrong, and Jane Hersey; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many beloved friends and family members.

Tyler loved his family more than anything. He was a wonderful father to his children. He was very proud of his work and was a hard worker. He worked for over 20 years at Custom Changes in Hickory. Tyler loved Nascar, going kayaking, and seeing the Atlanta Braves play baseball. Of course, watching the Braves would never be as good as watching his son, Brody, play baseball. That almost 18 years of marriage to Ashley, all started with one date to Chili's. They met for a meal and were together ever since.

A Celebration of Life for Tyler Berrong will be announced by the family at a later date.
