James Ronda Bowman, age 82, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026 at his residence. He was born June 22, 1944 in Caldwell County to the late James Wade Bowman and Annie Auton Bowman. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one daughter, Amy Deaton; and one sister, Sylvia Looper.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 34 years, Wanda Triplett Bowman; one daughter, Tina Bowman-Thomas (Jeremy); two step-daughters, Lisa Parson and Anita Watson; two brothers, Gary Bowman (Karen), and Dwight Bowman (Martha); two sisters, Gail Looper and Trisha Burke; two granddaughters, Sommer Madden (Keith) and Michaela Johnson (Mason); three step-grandchildren, Colby Parson (Ana), Brooke Parson, and Brianna Byerly; three great-grandchildren, Kayden Madden, Keylee Madden, and Emarie Johnson; four step-great-grandchildren, Peyton Byerly, Westin Byerly, Zoe Quinteros, and Sofia Bradshaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
