Mr. James David Price, age 66, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Caldwell UNC Health Care.

Born January 4, 1959 in Caldwell County, David was a son of the late James and Florence Cooke Price.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Cooke; six sisters, Gail Bentley, Sylvia Laney, Sue Brookshire, Pat Minton, Donna Cardwell and Cheryl Miller; a nephew, Brian Minton; and two fur babies, Maxx and Sassy.

Survivors include his former wife, Sherry Price of Boomer; one son, Joshua David Price (wife Christy) of Collettsville; one step-son, Dustin Potter of Boomer; two daughters, Jessica Wesson (husband Kevin) of Boomer and Jamie Price (companion Erica Murphy) of Delaware; two brothers, Johnny Price (wife Debbie) of Lenoir and Tim Cooke (wife Pam) of Granite Falls; two sisters, Sandra Brown (husband Randy) and Lisa Ruppert both of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Dilan Price, Daniel Price, Kaleb Wesson, Laney Price, and Kaylee Wesson; fur baby, Shadow; numerous nieces and nephews.

David loved fast Fords and was a loyal and dedicated partner to his brother Johnny at Price's Roofing. David was also a loving Dad, PawPaw, and friend that will be missed greatly.

A celebration of Davids' life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brent Dula and Rev. James Wilfong officiating.  Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
