James T. Donovan, Jr., a man devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren passed away at Amorem Hospice in Hudson, North Carolina on Saturday, January 20, 2024. His passing came just six days' shy of the 44th anniversary to his wife Dawn. He was 80 years old.

James (Jim) was born June 19, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to the late James T. Donovan, Sr. and Mary Coffey. He grew up and was educated in Bay Ridge, New York.

James was in textile management and a long time employee at JoanFabrics in Lowell, Massachusetts, and Hickory, North Carolina. Later James and his wife moved to New Jersey where he worked as Vice President at Absecon Mills, Cologne, New Jersey until he retired and moved to Hawaii.

James was the beloved husband of Dawn Donovan of Lowell, Massachusetts. He was the loving father to his son, Ross Widtfeldt and wife Shelly of Granite Falls, North Carolina and his stepdaughter, April Drummey and husband John of Marlborough, Massachusetts. He was the grandfather of Kristy, Ryan, Jessica, and Rachel.
