James C. Miller, Sr., 62 of Lenoir passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 following a period of declining health.

James was born on July 11, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Johnny J. Miller and Zola Izella Bishop Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Arona Lee Miller; children, Scott Dunn (Bethany), Amanda Rhea (Ken), James Miller, Jr. (Kayln), Rosetta Miller (TJ), Suezanna Miller, and Darryl Miller; brothers, Anthony Miller, Sr. and Alan Miller, Sr. (Betty); and grandchildren, Ella and Eli Travis, Grayson and Nathaniel Rhea, Johnny, James III, Jacob, and Domanick Miller, and Lukas Miller.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Ashley's Memorial Garden in Lenoir.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers are Scott Dunn, Kenneth Rhea, Thomas Helton, Garland Watson, Josh Watson, and Christopher DeVan. Honorary Pallbearers are Darryl Miller, Johnny Miller, and James Miller III.
