James Warren Smith, age 74, of Lenoir, North Carolina left our lives on February 8, 2025.

James was the son of the late Edward and Virginia Smith.

He was born on January 8, 1951 in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William Smith; and sister, Laura Parton and Cotton Smith; as well as numerous other loved ones.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Brown (Diamond) and Amy Hall (Travis); son, Edward Smith (Jacie); brother, Wayne Smith; sister-in-law, Brenda Smith; Nephew, Jody Smith; grandchildren, Bailey Brown (Keenan), Brittany Hall (Nick), and Hunter Hall; great-grandchildren, Saylor Wilson and soon to arrive, Baby Rome Dula; and special cousin, Linda Bryant.

James loved his farm animals. He also loved his family and friends very much, especially his grandbabies. He was very proud of them. He will be dearly missed.

A visitation to honor the life of James Warren Smith will be held at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM.
