Janet Lynn Carpenter Harris, age 69, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. She was born April 24, 1956 in Burke County to the late John and Willie Jean Miller Carpenter. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Scott Carpenter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her partner, Jason Douglas Mashburn of the home; son, Charles Phillip Harris of Lenoir; daughter, Kelly McCall (Josh) of Hudson; brother, Michael Carpenter (Debbie) of Hudson; five grandchildren, Kolten (Mallory), Kaleb, Kassie (Dakota), Kori, and Kerston; two great-grandchildren, Maylinn and Addie; and one sister, Reba Andrews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 2:30 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Webb officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour following the service at the funeral home.
