Janet Carol Hamby Grant, age 67, of Lenoir, North Carolina went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Janet was born on July 26, 1958 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Sylvester and Novella Hamby.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Hamby and Lane Hamby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mark Grant; sons, Jordan Grant (Ashley Hamby) and Casey Grant (Hailey); brothers, Curt Hamby and Jeff Hamby (Jeannie); grandchildren, Cannon Grant, Tripp Grant, Kody Grant, Avery Grant, and Wyatt Minton; godchildren, Makayla Hamby, and Noah Hamby; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

A funeral service to honor the life of Janet Hamby Grant will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 2:00PM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Junior Hamby officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.

Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Grant, Noah Hamby, Noah Shelton, Cameron Pope, Greg Elrod, Chris Mast, and Cody Cox.

Donations may be made to Closer Walk Baptist Church in Janet's honor.
