Jason Lee
Cromer
Dec 7, 1982 — Mar 18, 2026
Lenoir
Jason Lee Cromer passed from this life on March 18, 2026. He was born December 7, 1982 in Winston-Salem, NC to Mary Ellen Leonhard Cromer and Larry Wayne Cromer.
As a child, and as an adult, he enjoyed traveling and was ready to go whenever given the chance. He also enjoyed camping and other trips with Boy Scouts and trips with his church group, especially the Serenity choir.
Jason is survived by his loving mother, Mary; his devoted wife, Virginia, who adored him deeply; and his beloved son, John. He also leaves behind cherished aunts, uncles, and many cousins, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.
It was known early on that he wanted to join the military so it was no surprise to anyone when He did just that. On January 9, 2001 he took the oath to join the United States Marine Corp and more travels began. After basic training he was assigned to Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii as his home base; deploying from there to many other interesting places. His last deployment was to Iraq where he said he realized he was walking on land once walked on by people he had studied about in Sunday School. Jason Cromer was honorably discharged as a Corporal in the Marine Corp.
Jason had many talents. He was dedicated to making his family happy, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. A true gentleman at heart, he was a loving husband and a devoted family man. Beyond his generosity and kindness, Jason had a deep love for reading, constantly seeking knowledge and new adventures through the pages of his books.
Jason eventually embarked on a journey that led him to what he had been searching for all along—a family. He found a beautiful wife who filled his life with love, and together they were blessed with a handsome and caring son who became his greatest pride and joy.
Celebration of Life for Jason will be April 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Pilot View Friends Meeting, 3225 Pilot View Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055 with Marine Military Honors.
