Kaylor, J.D, age 86, of Hudson, NC, was called to his heavenly home on August 6, 2023 to be reunited with his precious wife, Barbara "Bebob".

J.D. was a good and faithful servant to the Lord of First Baptist Whitnel since March 1982. There he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and was in the food ministry. His passion was telling others about Jesus, and he loved to quote Psalm 23.

He retired as a wood craftsman from Bernhardt Furniture. J.D. was a hobbyist who enjoyed building RC boats and planes.

He is preceded in death by his late wife Barbara; his parents, Jennings and Ellen Kaylor; sister AvaLee Kaylor; and brothers Jerry and Mike Kaylor.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Donna Kaylor; grand-daughter and spouse Miranda and Tim Kump; great-granddaughter and spouse Kara and Blaine Melton; and sisters Mary Hoyle and Judy Fenner.

We can always remember J.D. with his favorite saying, "DO IT WHILE YOU CAN".

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August, 9, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Whitnel with Rev. Steve Hedgecock and Rev. Stuart White officiating. The music will be conducted by Gus Bolick.
