Jean Allen Shore, age 79, formerly of Lenoir passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at her son's home.

Born February 28, 1947 in Rockingham, NC, Jean was the daughter of the late Lillie Beulah Cameron Allen and William Luther Allen.  Jean enjoyed snuggling babies, spoiling her grandchildren, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her church family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia and Martha, brother Richard, and her husband of 54 years Perry Wayne Shore.

She is survived by her children, Allen F. Shore (wife Heather) of Logan, OH and Crystal Shore Buckner (Husband Grady Lee) of Hudson; three grandchildren, Paul Daniel S. Woodring, Cameron Burgess Shore and Caleb Mason Shore.  She is also survived by sisters, Myra Barbary and Marsha Ward.

A graveside memorial service celebrating Jean's life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor James Baker officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lenoir First Wesleyan Church.
