Jeanette Woodie Haire, 88, of Lenoir passed away on Saturday, March, 16, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanette was born on July 14, 1935 to the late John Woodie and Mae Woods Woodie in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Roland C. Haire, Sr.; son, Tim Haire; brothers, Truman Woodie, Herbert Woodie, and Willard Woodie; and one sister, Zelma Robinson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rolanda Haire Lovins; granddaughter, Alisha Lovins Smith; great-grandchildren, Chase Smith and Emma Smith; brother, Larry Glen Robinson; sisters, Mary Brunton, Carolyn Anderson, Geneva Kincaid, and Elaine McDonald; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was the credit manager for 35 years at Bernhardt-Seagle in Lenoir. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She was a foster parent for twenty years. She cared for numerous children and always had a loving smile on her face. Jeanette was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She also taught Sunday school for over sixty years. She enjoyed reading the Bible and was a devout Christian.

A Funeral Service to honor the memory of Jeanette Woodie Haire will be held on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeremy Greer and Pastor Thomas Booth officiating,

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to One Community Church at 104 Fairway Shopping Center, Hudson, NC, 28638.
