Jeannette McDonald Rogers, age 87, of Hudson passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at Amorem Hospice. She was born May 26, 1938 in Stanley County to the late John A. McDonald and Essie Burris McDonald. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Jack McDonald and Claude McDonald; one sister, Joyce Mauldin; and one great-grandchild, Maddux Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 68 years, Hubert Conrad Rogers; two daughters, Janna Story (Kevin) and Dee Moore (Mike); four grandchildren, Ryan (Brianna), Lauren (Joe), Tyler (Heather), and Elliot (Chelsey); and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Craven officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Story, Tyler Moore, Elliot Moore, Jacob Story, Rylee Story, and Joe Whittington.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601; and Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
