Jeffery Beach
Laxton
Jun 16, 1965 — Jan 21, 2025
Canton
Jeffery Beach Laxton 59, of Canton N.C. left for his heavenly home (by his own testimony) when the Lord Jesus Christ called him home.
Mr. Laxton was born in Caldwell County to the late Dennis Welder Laxton and Ellene Smith Laxton. Jeff was a student of South Caldwell Highschool class of 1985. His employment and cooking endeavors took him to several places in Waynesville and Canton N.C. He loved cooking, fishing and woodworking projects. Jeff was a sweet, kind person never meeting a stranger, he was there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His sense of humor and funny jokes would keep you laughing; he was indeed a delight to be around. He loved life, his family, and his special dog Coco. If Jeff could tell us one thing it would be to give our hearts to Jesus; his favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strentheneth me.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years Kathy Lynn Frady Laxton whom he loved dearly; brother, Robert (Bobby) Dennis Laxton; paternal grandparents, Oney Beach (Sara Eliza) Laxton; maternal grandparents, Robert Forest Sr. (Ophelia) Smith; uncle, R.F. Jr. (Faye) Smith; cousin, Robert Forest Smith III; cousin, John B Smith III; and stepmother, Margaret Elizabeth Laxon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost two years Princelen (Honey) Laxton of the home who loved Jeff dearly. Best friends and his sweetheart they united in marriage in 2023. His stepsiblings, Michael Runion, Sharon (Ray) Sherrill, Debbie (Gene) Clark, Sandra (Dinky) Watson, Pam (Michael) Holsclaw all of Lenoir N.C., Lisa (Paul) Huffman of Hampstead N.C.
His very special cousins Rachel (David) Miller of Palm Coast Florida, Rebecca Faye Galli of Maryland, Barbara Smith and Doug Seese of Taylorsville N.C., Hattie Riemke, Debbie Riemke, Rita Martin of Chattanooga Tenn., Beverly Brooks of Hickory N.C., Tammy Townsend, Lorraine Carpenter of Lenoir N.C whom all loved him dearly.
To his dear friends, thank you for loving and supporting Jeff during his time on earth with us. He loved his friends. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Jeff will always be remembered close in our hearts and memories and will be greatly missed. Our life defines us, not our death.
