Jesse Marie Bruce, age 30, of Lenoir passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. She was born September 30, 1993 in Burke County to Raymond Bruce and Mary McGuire Bruce. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, J.C. and Elaine Parsons; and her maternal grandfather, J.D. McGuire.

Jesse had a feisty personality, a good heart, and never knew a stranger. She will forever be missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her parents include her two sisters, Katie Bruce and Liz Bruce; one daughter, Olivia Bruce; her partner and best friend, Scottie Barlow and his parents, Scott and Pam Barlow, all of Lenoir; maternal grandmother, Joyce McGuire; and numerous extended family and beloved friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darren Peterson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Refuge Missionary Baptist Church, 375 Mount Herman Road, Hudson, NC 28638.
