Jewel Coffey Rhames, age 70, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her residence. She was born August 7, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Wallace Coffey and Charlotte Griffin Coffey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Friesland.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 49 years, Johnnie Dale Rhames, of the home; two sons, William Friesland and wife Summer of Hudson, and Shawn Friesland and wife April of Lenoir; one daughter, Valerie Corley and husband Todd of Lenoir; one brother, Timothy Coffey of Lenoir; five beloved grandchildren, Kendall Helton and husband Cameron, Lucas Corley, Johnathan Jordan, Hailey Friesland, and Hayden Friesland; one great-grandson, Liam Helton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Griffins Family Gardens conducted by Rev. Shannon Harmon.
