John Whetzel Adkins, 68, of Lenoir, North Carolina, departed this world on November 1, 2023. Born to the late Lucille Green Young in Ohio on November 13, 1954, John's journey through life touched many hearts.

In his passing, he rejoins his brother, Creed Anthony Adkins, in the realm beyond. John's memory lives on through his brother, Chris Young, who lovingly cherishes the moments they shared.

John's life was one of craftsmanship, as a skilled carpenter and painter. He personified selflessness, always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. His strong work ethic was evident to all who knew him, and his faith in the Lord remained unwavering. John's passion for fishing marked him as an expert in the sport, creating lasting memories for those fortunate enough to cast their lines alongside him.

Services for John Adkins will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2:00PM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
