John Allen Parsons, age 72, of Lenoir passed away Friday, September 5, 2025. He was born June 20, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Cyrus Lincoln Parsons, Sr. and Merium Bryant Townsend. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step-father, Lloyd Townsend; and one sister, Susan Lovins.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Bessie Shatley Parsons; two sons, Mark Parsons and wife Kristie, and Bryan Parsons and wife Jennifer; one brother, Cyrus Parsons, Jr. and wife Judy; one sister, Renia Keyes and husband Tom; and six beloved grandchildren, Abbey, Gracie, Chloe, Liam, Luke and Matt.
