Jonnie Edmisten Laws, 69 of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Jonnie was born on December 03, 1954  in Caldwell County to the late Samuel S. Edmisten, Sr. and Lavada Clark Edmisten. Jonnie was a graduate of Hibriten High School in Lenoir, North Carolina and a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church in Bluff City, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Sammie Edmisten; and nephew, Gregory Crisp.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Dana E. Storie, Melinda E. Crisp, and Renae E. Munday (Joe); and sister-in-law, Teresa L. Edmisten.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hamby officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July, 22, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Edmisten, Matthew Crisp, Shari Edmisten, Melanie Storie, and Jackson Munday.
