Joseph Anthony Cohee, Sr., age 49, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at Frye Regional Medical Center. He was born November 13, 1975 in Burke County to Pat Hames Cohee and the late Tony Ross Cohee.

Joseph was a skilled tradesman and good with his hands.  He specialized in concrete.  He enjoyed showing off his work.  Joe loved to build and create things and he was always proud of his creations.  Joe had a rough exterior, but those who truly knew him knew he had a big soft heart, especially for his kids and grandkids.  Joe loved cooking and grilling on his homemade grill.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Pat Hames Cohee; two sons, Joseph Anthony Cohee, Jr. (Scarlett) and Nathaniel Allen Cohee (Cloey Deal); one brother, Allen Dula; two sisters, Annette Weiss (Jeff) and Linda Dunagan; and two grandchildren, Chandler Cohee and Kennedi Cohee; his significant other, Audrey Polk; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Rev. James Dahl officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
