Mrs. Juanita Loudermelt Cannon, age 90, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed peacefully from this life on April 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on April 13, 1936, in Boone, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Dempsey Loudermilk and Julie Story. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cannon, and granddaughter, Charity Cannon. Juanita was a woman of quiet strength, deep kindness, and enduring grace, whose life was a testament to love, family, and resilience.

She was a loving mother to Alen Cannon and his wife Crystal, Teresa Cannon, and Lisa Ward and her husband Mark. Her greatest joy was found in her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, Amber Graham Carver and her husband Brandon, and Monica Cannon and her partner Leon, as well as her treasured great-granddaughter, Samantha Christine Davis, who will forever hold her memory close in their hearts.
Juanita had a gift for making a house a home. Whether through her cooking, her gentle words, or the warmth of her presence, she made all who knew her feel welcome and loved.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that she is at peace and reunited with those who have gone before her. Her legacy of love will live on in all who knew her.
